Ingram Marine Surveys and Consulting Inc. (IMSC) was established in 2023 to provide marine surveys predominantly in Eastern Canada and the Great Lakes Region. IMSC is based in Montreal, where we have been appointed as Skuld’s H&M Correspondent. It is our goal to expand the team to have surveyors stationed in Ontario and the Maritimes.

Duncan Ingram the owner and principal surveyor has performed surveys for over 25 years throughout the world. Prior to starting IMSC, he was the principal surveyor for the ABL-Group in Canada from 2013. Prior to starting IMSC, he was the principal surveyor for the ABL-Group in Canada from 2013. Has performed surveys for H&M, LOH, P&I, Pre-Purchase, Shipyard Liability (JH143), Towage, Voyage approval, H&M condition and provided expert opinions for legal cases. Has performed JH143 surveys in the three main construction yards in Canada for both new building and conversion projects. Spent 17 years as an IACS Class surveyor (Lloyds Register and DNV). Four years of new construction surveys in HHI, South Korea and Tianjin Xingang, China. Four years of ship repair surveys and conversion in Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, South Korea and COSCO Dalian, China. Extensive experience of Hull, Machinery, Statutory surveys on most ship types. New build project management of VLCC and Bulk Carriers. Safety officer and ISM/ISPS compliance auditor.
